A: You are advised to contact the Singapore Customs helpdesk to get the equivalent HS code for ver 4.0
Q: Can various importers be declared in a permit in ver 4.0 since it allows various houses to be declared?
A: TN ver 4.0 does not allow multiple importers with various houses be declared in ONE permit because currently the deduction of GIRO can only be done from a single party
Q: Can the e-file be extended during the upgrade transitional period?
A: Authority has confirmed that it is not necessary for the extension because they allow manual amendmenton a case by case basis still during the transactional period
Q: How is Controlled permit to be declared handled in ver 3.1 if it is pending during the cutover?
A: CA will as far as possible clear the permits before the cutover to ver 4.0
Q: When will the UEI code be implemented?
A: It has been catered for in ver 4.0 for future use but it will not be activated on 1 Oct 2007 untill further notice from the authorities
Q: Can MV engine and chassis numbers be imported using CSV into ver 4.0?
A: It will be for future enhancement
Q: Can permits declared in ver 3.1 be extended in ver 4.0?
A: Yes, it is part of amendment which is allowed in ver 4.0
Q: Will WISE interface remain?
A: WISE interface will no longer be needed in ver 4.0

A: No, as these 2 total will only be equal based on certain conditions
Q: Can the current ver 3.1 permit printing be enhanced to be able to select all permit types at one go?
A: Yes
Q: What is the advantage of allowing multiple houses in a single Master to be declared in one permit?
A: If the freight forwarder is the appointed agent for a ME customer, the advantages is that all houses under the same importer can be declared in ONE permit to save the costs of multiple permits
Q: Can the step of reset amendment status be eliminated?
A: It will be enhanced in ver 4.0
Q: Has Customs widened the scope of amendment allowed through Tradenet?
A: Yes, more fields will be allowed for amendment (eg. refund of GST)
Q: Will ACMIS interface remain?
A: ACMIS interface will not be available in ver 4.0. It will be replaced CCN-CMD Interface
Q: Is there any changes to Freight Interface format?
A: Yes, the Freight Interface formats will be changed. Please contact Kewill-IPACS for the new Freight Interface format.

Any additional and amendment to the HS Codes, Product Codes and Controlled Items after the installation, users will have to go to the Maintenance option to add or amend the affected HS Code, Product Codes and Controlled Items
